Welcome to the Chequamegon Children’s Theater!

The Chequamegon Children’s Theater was founded in 1987 and incorporated as non-profit 501(c)3 in 1997. Since then, 367 children have participated in 32 productions and over 90 performances. Our mission is to offer all children who wish to participate the opportunity to develop confidence in themselves and increase their self-esteem through the unique experience of live theater. In a supportive environment, under the tutelage of experienced, professional directors, children learn collaboration, discipline, the simple joy of performance, and the magic of theater.

Auditions will be held Thursday, July 7 at the Cable UCC. More information and sign ups available are available here!

This year we are so excited to be presenting Honk! Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing to be.

CCT in Action!

In 2020, with Covid-19 upending our lives and creating such uncertainty we were forced to cancel our summer show. It was a difficult decision to make but the health and well being of our performers, our artistic team, our audience and our community is paramount. To keep the CCT spirit alive we created the Dream Your Dreams Cabaret, a project meant to celebrate the history of Chequamegon Children’s Theater and the performers who have made it possible. We sincerely thank everyone who worked to make this cabaret a resounding success and are proud to present it to you. Enjoy!
